How do I get a tutor?
After doing an initial phone consultation, we'll have a way you can pay for that session through our site. If after an initial session with a Summerlin Tutor you are more than satisfied, we can email about discounts and rates for long-term scheduling of sessions.

How does Summerlin Tutors work?
The eventual goal for Summerlin Tutors will be that all possible subjects from core subjects like English, math, science, history, foreign languages, and computer science to visual arts, music, digital media--and many other subjects--will be covered. As we become aware of needs, we'll meet them.

What can I get help with?
What's the minimum time to work with a tutor?
For me, I generally work with students in two-hour blocks, but other tutors might be more flexible depending on their circumstances. Remember, we do come to your house or to a mutually agreed upon public location. It's always important that the tutor and the student feel comfortable and have a quiet space to work together.

Eventually, we'll have tutors who live in Henderson or in between Summerlin and Henderson. I live in Summerlin--not far from Downtown Summerlin, and I expect approximately 15 minutes of travel time to most of my sessions. Once it goes over that, we'll discuss appropriate compensation for extra travel time. In most cases, we'll try to select a tutor who lives closer to you.
What if I don't live in Summerlin?
Of course! Summerlin tutors are carefully chosen, and our hope is that we only have the best tutors in Las Vegas, but we always want to match up the best fit for your child. After an initial tutoring session, we'll make every effort to establish a regular schedule for you and your tutor.
